The Village Council meets the first Monday of the month in the Village Hall conference room. If it is a holiday, then the meeting is the following Tuesday. See the meeting schedule below.
Local Residents and the public are welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings.
These meetings review status of planned projects, committee updates and review of financials for the month.
The Village of Westphalia is incorporated as a general law village with a Council form of government. The Village Council is the highest elected body. It consists of a President and six Council members all elected at large. The clerk and treasurer are appointed by the village council.
The President is the highest elected official of the Village and presides at meetings of the Council. The President shall be considered a member of the Council, and shall have the right to vote upon any question before the Council.
